National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3)
Where Education and Industry Meet The National Coalition of Certification Centers is a value-driven organization and the future model for Career and Technical Education, creating highly-skilled, job-ready professionals through a growing network of educational partners and global industry leaders. Festo and NC3 work together to equip instructors with all the tools necessary to enhance students’ learning experiences. The Train-The-Trainer (TTT) program provides instructors with: Hands-on technical training using real-world tools and equipment Curriculum walkthroughs to align instruction with certification objectives Assessment procedures and best practices Official NC3 Instructor Certification, authorizing them to deliver and proctor the credential in a K–12 setting Instructor Professional Development Section: To offer NC3 industry certifications, educators must complete specialized Train-the-Trainer sessions. These immersive experiences equip instructors with the technical skills, curriculum knowledge, and instructional strategies needed to deliver certifications effectively. TTTs are foundational for building expertise and maintaining instructional quality across programs.
Implementation Planning Timeline: Instructor participation in NC3 TTT events should be scheduled early in your rollout plan. These sessions are essential prerequisites and should be treated as key checkpoints that determine when student credentialing can officially begin. Aligning program timelines with TTT availability helps ensure a smooth and timely launch. Certification Program Descriptions: Each NC3 certification—whether in precision measurement, automation, safety, or fluid power—requires the instructor to have completed the associated TTT course. This ensures consistent delivery of content, valid assessment practices, and alignment with industry standards. Sustainability & Scalability Section: The TTT framework empowers schools to scale certification offerings over time. By certifying additional instructors through these sessions, districts can expand access, maintain instructional consistency, and reduce reliance on external trainers—ensuring long-term growth and sustainability.
